6 inches tall he weights 1 pound, required incubator and weighs just over 1 pound, requires intensive care incubator at Triggywinkle Wildlife Hospital in Buckinghamshire. He only now opened his eyes. Rupert trying to stand makes a striking pose for the camera.

Les Stocker, founder of Tiggywinkles, says, "Rupert's mother was very severely injured. We brought him out and got him breathing then into the incubator on oxygen. He is now fed through a tube.

Staff are optimistic the baby now five days old, will make a full recovery. Deer are very, very tricky but this one has spirit. He is an extremely feisty little guy and quite pushy, Mr Stocker states as lucky little Rupert grabs 40 winks.
